March 19, 2023 Worship Service
The March 26 worship service opened with Jaidynne Lane and Kolbi Ghidonibringing in the Light of Christ and lighting the altar candles. Announcements and the opening prayer were given by Dennis Croy.
Following the opening songs, Dennis Croy read the Focus on the Cross devotion, "The Nails," as the nails were placed on the cross. Emily Miller gave the children's message. Wes Gay gave the Scripture reading.
Pastor Ryan Beenken's sermon, "The Why," was based on Romans 3:23-26. Why did Easter have to happen? The turning away of God's wrath and an outpouring of God's grace.
New prayer requests are for Harry Renne, Linda Rucker, and Linda Patterson.
Our Easter egg hunt for the children will follow worship on April 2. We will have practice for our Maundy Thursday Last Supper reenactment that evening at 7.
The Living Last Supper will be presented on Maundy Thursday, April 6, at 7 pm.
The Gallatin Ministerial Alliance's community Good Friday service will be held at First Christian Church on April 7 at 7 pm. Pastor David Leeper will bring the message. Special music will be provided by the Gallatin Community Cho, directed by Linda Arnold.
Easter Sunday will begin with our sunrise service at the crosses on the hill at 7 am followed by a light breakfast. Worship service begins at 9 am.
We will show season 3 episodes of "The Chosen" on Tuesdays at 7 pm beginning April 11.
